AI transparency

Current status

Operational AI assistance is disabled by default. The public early-access service does not use AI to match members or make decisions about them.

Permitted future assistance

If enabled, AI may produce a draft summary of non-sensitive gathering logistics or identify missing evidence. The output will be labelled as AI-assisted and reviewed by a named person.

Prohibited decisions

AI cannot approve or publish gatherings, set prices, decide refunds, suspend members, resolve safety reports or decide who may connect.

Records and oversight

Banns maintains an AI system register and records provider, model configuration, purpose, input categories, output and reviewer outcome. Sensitive religious, safety and payment data are excluded from AI inputs.
